This is a famous proverb which means the one who works slowly but steadily achieves success sooner than the one who works faster and makes haste. You might have heard the famous story of the hare and the tortoise. The hare, bold and confident, runs fast in the race of him and a tortoise. However, afterwards, the hare, in sheer overconfidence, takes rest under a tree and fells asleep; but, the tortoise keeps moving at its typical slow pace without any rest. The tortoise overtakes the hare, who is asleep, and wins the race. We should apply this same concept in our work. We should not be discouraged by the size of work and proceed with it bit by bit. This way our success is ascertained.
